Beijing National Stadium : 



It is the world's largest ever steel structure.It is also known as the Birds's nest.It is a vast stadium located in Beijing,the capital city of China.This astonishing structure looks more like a public work of art than an Olympic stadium.It was specially designed by the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron  for use throughout the 2008 summer Olympics and Paralympics.

The Moscow Metro:de

 


 It was officially inaugurated in 1935 with only 13 stations. Today,it has more than 197 stations and its routes covers 329 km. This network is mostly underground with its deepest section with 74 meters underground at the park Pobedy station.

The Moscow Metro network stations are famous for their extravagant and beautiful murals,architecture and design  which reflect various eras .As of 2013,it is the busiest metro network outside of Asia and also the sixth longest subway system in the world.Some of its stations-Victoria Park,Mayakovskaya , Nakhimovsky Prospekt and Elektraavodskaya etc are known for their beauty.


The Blue Planet:




Located in Copenhagen,Denmark,it is the largest aquarium in the northern Europe.It is well known for its unique spiral designs and modern architecture.

It is located on an elevated headland,directly facing the Oresund,a strait that that separates Denmark from Sweden.

The Blue Planet is the home to 450 different species and 20,000 fish and other aquatic animals.

It is surrounded by water on all sides and designed in the shape of a swirl with lobby right in its center. The aquarium building has 60-70 tanks placed in its wings.




 Palm Islands:


Palm Islands are a pair of artificial islands.They are located on the coast of Dubai,United Arab Emirates.They are better known as Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali.Both of these islands are constructed from sand dreaded from the bottom of the Persian Gulf by the Belgian company,known as Jan De Nul and the Dutch company known as Van Oord.




Sand was spared on the reclaimed land by dredging ships that were guide by GPS and Global Poising System.A Palm Island address is regarded as a symbol of status in Dubai .These Islands are well connected to city through a monorail.However,the construction of these islands has a cascading effecting on environment .For example:There has been a change in wave patterns and area wildlife.

Channel Tunnel:


The Channel Tunnel has a longest undersea portion of any tunnel in the world.It is 37.5 km long under the sea.The total length of the tunnel is 50.5 km.It links Folkestone ,Kent in the United Kingdom with Coquelles,Pas-De Calais,near Calais in Northern France.The tunnel is one of the biggest engineering projects carried out by UK.It took more than five years to complete and about 13,000 workers from both the UK and France to do so.It formally opened to public in 1994.

  Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge:



The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge is situated in China.It is the world's longest bridge.This bridge measures 164.8 km lengthwise.It is also the part of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway network.The construction work on the bridge started in the year of 2006 and was completed by 2010. It was formally opened to the general public in 2011.It Took four year for ten thousand workers to build the bridge.It runs parallel to the Yangtze River.The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge is about 100 feet off the ground.
